| Job Description: |
Physicians Transport Service is now hiring Field Medics to fill positions for patient transports. Potential EMT-I or EMT-P candidates must be professional and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of those who they encounter. Field Medics usually staff Advanced Life Support (ALS) units, serve a number of facilities in the Northern Virginia area, and are based out of one of three PTS stations. Field Medics serve 24-hours shifts, working an average of 8 days per month. |
| Job Requirements: |
Valid Virginia EMT-I or EMT-P
Current CPR-BLS
EVOC certified (or capable of obtaining within 3 months of hire)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified (or capable of obtaining within 3 months of hire)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prohospital Professionals (PEPP) certified (or capable of obtaining within 3 months of hire)
Valid Driver's License
Driving record in compliance with PTS policies
Ability to pass criminal record background check

| Job Description: |
The Dispatcher is the first point of contact between the public and Physicians Transport Service. The Dispatcher assigns calls to the units and the field and communicates with facilities, patients, family members (of patients & employees), and administrative staff of PTS. |
| Job Requirements: |
High School diploma or GED
Strong computer skills, including ability to use internet and office applications
Strong organizational skills
Able to clearly communicate both orally and in written form
Willingness to accept responsibility
Preferred current EMT-B or higher or have 1+ years of medical or 9-1-1 dispatch experience
