Event Standbys

Physicians Transport Service provides standbys for large or special events for dozens of events each year.  PTS has provided on scene EMS services to sporting events, horse racing & jumping competitions, cross-country track events and more.  Recent events include the Washington Redskins Training Camps and equestrian activities at Morven Park and The Oatlands Plantations in Loudoun County.  See below for photos of some of the events PTS has provided standby services to.

PTS can supply both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) personnel to your event.  Our goal is to ensure the safety of your event's participants and spectators.

All events begin with an assessment of your needs, including level of care (ALS or BLS), number of units needed, and optimum placement of equipment and first aid stations.  PTS management also takes care of advanced notifications of surrounding EMS agencies & jurisdictions of your event and anticipated turnout.

On the day of the event, crews arrive promptly and fully equipped.  In addition to standard equipment, PTS personnel have standing orders for the rapid & emergent treatment of medical emergencies and injuries.

For more information on our services and rates, or to book PTS for your next event, please contact Deputy Chief Jamie Barteau at (571) 323-0800 x204 or via e-mail by clicking here.
